Despite being one of the newest member of staff at George Fisher, I have lived in Keswick most of my life. As a child I hated walking, climbing and anything that wasn't football or rugby. I now make the most of living in one of the most beautiful places in the UK by fell running.
In 2013, aged 19, I became addicted to exercise. That year I completed an unassisted Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride in 12 days, and raised £3000 for the Great North Air ambulance. This to date remains my greatest achievement.
Since then I have dabbled with lots of different sports. Running was a great way to stay fit for everything. However, living in keswick does have a down side, there is no such thing as a flat run. Naturally I started to run up and down fells. It didn't take me long before I entered my first fell race, and since then I've not looked back.
My other great love is skiing. In the shop I am the newest member of the ski and boot fitting team. Outside the shop I am a ski instructor for Skischule Mallnitz in Mallnitz, Austria.
I suppose you could say I love being outdoors whatever the weather.
