Well I’m Melvin, a 43 year old full time professional landscape photographer who is based in Preston, Lancashire.
So a little about me then. My interest in photography goes back to the late 1990’s when I use to sell camera equipment among other things for the now departed household electrical company Comet.
I obtained my Licentiateship distinction with the Royal Photographic Society in 2012 and aim to submit my Associate panel next year. I have had my work published in national and international magazines (Professional ImageMaker, Amateur Photographer) and I have my framed prints currently exhibited in the Lake District and Lancashire. But it is the teaching and assisting side of photography that I love, helping others to realise their dreams and aspirations to not only improve their photography but to enjoy it more as a result. Workshops and 1-2-1 tuition is not a job to me, it’s my life and if you feel that am able to help you and your photography, feel free to get in touch.
I currently shoot with a Canon 5D MKIII and ‘L’ series lenses. If you want to see some of my work, please visit www.melvinnicholsonphotography.co.uk.
