What’s your role within George Fisher? Digital marketing
Tell us about your favourite thing to do in the outdoors...Anything that gets me into wild places. Like so many of us, I've been making the most of the fantastic summer, mainly swimming and climbing. I’ve been a wimp usually when it comes to cold water swimming, but after being inspired by my partner Amber, a dip in the lake after a long day on the hill is almost essential!
What piece of kit can't you live without? My Arc’teryx Atom FL goes with me everywhere. It’s perfect in the summer as my insulation piece, and packs down super small. Plus, it’s orange!
Where's your favourite place in the lake District? It changes quite a lot... I had a day up at Harrop tarn earlier this year after a big snowfall, and it was incredible up there. Something about the combination of pine trees and snow is where it’s at for me. The mountain crags of the Lakes are pretty special places too. They feel like very wild places, untouched by people, and you have to work pretty hard to get to them.
What was your last adventure? I just recently got back from a climbing trip to Cornwall. It was my second time down there and (apart from the drive) Cornwall always delivers. We climbed at Chair Ladder, Sennen, Carn Kenidjack...I can’t wait to get back and explore more of the coastline.
What's your next adventure? I’m a bit of a glutton for punishment. I think. I know the warmer weather is not over just yet, but every now and then my mind wanders to winter adventures. Bothies, whisky, sharpening your ice axes and crampons, long walk-ins with big winter boots. Fingers crossed for a winter that’s as productive as this summer!
