The man with many hats might describe my role. I am ski servicing, boot fitting and you may find me in any part of the shop if needed. Since joining the Air Training Corp at the age of 13 I have walking the hills of the UK , from my local haunts in South Wales when younger and then a mix of UK and alps since then, including time spent running the walking club at University.
In latter years skiing and biking have crept in , just to add to the mix and expense! . I still like to get out and climb when possible but expect to be pulled up by my son in the next few years.
I have been in the outdoor trade since 1998 and worked for national chains and on the brand side of the trade. Most of my retail time has been here at George Fisher working in an unique environment in terms of the shop and the surroundings.
The fells are there to inspire daily and they help understand what will work for the customer as well as myself. Some days commuting in to work is my only outdoor interaction but the views in and out are never the same 2 days running ,which keeps reminding me how lucky anybody is to live or visit the Lakes.

The inaugural George Fisher Summer Academy took part in Borrowdale this June, with support of many brands including Haglofs, Hilleberg, and Garmin.
Over the weekend we took customers out to experience canoeing, navigation, wild camping, and scrambling.
