An essential safety feature not only made for beginners but for those seasoned climbers among us too, the Pinch has an anti-panic function that automatically locks the device if the release lever is pulled too far back and there?s a second braking tier should this function be used too frequently as a result of an insufficient load or excessive rope friction. Confident, experience climbers or technicians may opt to deactivate this anti-panic system, which can be done simply with the screw supplied.
