The Kansas GTX walking boot has been in production by Meindl for over 15 years. As trusted shoemakers since 1683, Meindl’s walking boots are always of the finest quality and reliability.
In keeping with tradition, all of Meindl's footwear to this day are hand-crafted in the Bavarian factory by skilled professionals. The 3 season Kansas GTX is made from waxed Nubuck leather uppers and a rubber toe-cap giving you protection across a wide variety of terrains. The boot includes various technologies to optimise your walking performance including, a GORE-TEX membrane for waterproofing, an Air-Active footbed to control moisture levels, a digafix lacing system for the perfect hold, and compression pads around the ankle to minimise pressure when hill-walking. In addition, the Kansas GTX walking boot is fitted with a double density rubber sole providing excellent traction and shock absorption.

One of the Best
Those shoes are amazing !!! This is my second pair , my previous I bought in 2019 been doing over 25-30 miles weekly, scrambling , rock walking stream and river crossing , walking in pouring rain, so you can expect they will give up. My mates spend silly amounts on walking boots and they come back wet through , when I stayed completely dry. They have cushion inside so walking is really comfortable even after 10 hours constant walking my feet felt fine! The ankle protection is excellent - the amount of times I hit my leg on stone, stand incorrectly - the boot did the job protecting my feet! This will be my favorite brand and I will not look anywhere else. Please bear in mind that they are a bit heavy but its a small issue to get a superb comfort. YES big time I do recommend!

Replacement Boots
Have purchased Meindl Boots for several years now and have needed new ones for a while. Last week got soaking wet feet and unable to get to Keswick, decided I needed to order online. Thought these might be the most similar to the old ones and tried them out today. The Boots seem much higher on the ankle than my old ones and worried that this might be a problem . However they seemed fine, andI didn’t notice this after a while. They unlace very easily for pulling off. Best of all there are less seams to come apart which was where my old ones let in water. So far so good.
