Over this last year we have been working on a book celebrating the legacy of the passionate climbers behind our shop. We wanted to retrace the journeys and routes first taken by the Abraham brothers and to tell new stories that recapture the essence of adventure that inspired them. The walk up to the crag, the time it takes to climb a route, the experience you have with the people along the way adds up to so much more than an hour on an indoor wall. Climbing is about the excitement of exploration that the Abraham brothers pioneered. So we followed in their footsteps to rediscover adventure for ourselves.
As part of the book and to help us tell these stories, we need you. We would love to see your old climbing photos and hear the stories behind them. If this is something you would like to be a part of head to: http://bit.ly/George-Fisher-Climbing-Photos to get involved.

George Fisher is very proud to be once again supporting this great event here in the Lakes. Starting withe the Big Mountain Weekend on the 4th and 5th of May and running until the end of August, this is a celebration of all things climbing here in the Lake District. “CLIMB THE HIDDEN CLASSICS OF THE LAKES”
Esther is an MIA and will be teaching both BMC and Mountain Training climbing courses, starting and finishing here at Fishers. Esther is a George Fisher Ambassador for 2019 and we're very excited to bring you this great new opportunity to climb here in the Lake District.
Our staff get to review some of the latest kit to hit the shelves. They test products here in the Lake District so all reviews are appropriate to our climate and conditions.
