I have horrid feet so was unsure about going any distance in new shoes. These felt incredibly comfortable straight out of the box so I set off on my run with a plan to adapt the distance. Their first run 32 kilometres on tough Lakeland trails, no blisters no rubs and very happy feet.
I've found all the S-Lab shoes comfortable from the outset, I think due to the 'endo fit sleeve'. Which works as a soft brace holding your heel into the back of the shoe. This shoe was firm underfoot but not insensitive. The laces system allows good width at the forefoot for me but I also know people with slimmer feet find the soft upper easy to adjust and fit without rubbing.
The test shoe I have hasn’t got a deep tread but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the grip on wet ground and have even managed PB’s in some really wet conditions! We stock the SG (soft ground) version which has a more aggressive tread for Lake District tricky trails!
It’s safe to say, I love these shoes!
