Fisher's Favourites - Peter

For the 3rd of September our Fisher's Favourite is Peter Dransfield, who worked with us for over 20 years until his retirement a few years ago.

A keen walker and skier, Peter's enthusiasm for travel has seen him explore all over Europe in summer and winter, and closer to home, complete all of the Wainwright's inside of 12 months.

"THE COLEDALE HORSESHOE
The Coledale Horseshoe must rate as my most enjoyable walk..
Starting with the ascent of Causey Pike with its knobbly and distinctive summit.
Then across Scar Crags to Sail. Try to include Wandhope and Grasmoor to have the satisfaction of doing the complete Horseshoe..
Then down and up Hopegill Head before the exciting climb up Grisedale Pike. At last a long descent and a well earned pint
at the Coledale Inn and discuss the exciting day. A walk back along the southern slopes of Barrow. To the car. .
1280 m of ascent and descent - Distance 17.5 km"
