Salomon Sense Ride Shoes

My favourite shoe of the past year, this is a great all-round design with enough cushioning for long distance, but not too much to feel chunky and slow. They feel fast and nippy. I have two pairs and I expect to live in them over the summer as they are fantastic on all terrain except thick mud.

Rab A1 Pull-On

Is it a base layer? A mid layer? Is it warm, wicking, comfy? Is it a year-round garment? Can I wear it on its own? Can I use it as a layering piece? The answer to all those questions is: yes! What’s not to love?

Salomon Pulse Beltpack

With summer here, I’m not wearing a jacket for running. This means I need somewhere to store my phone, dog-poo bags, house keys and gloves (I still get cold hands). This bumbag is perfect and has both a stretchy pouch for my iPhone, a zipped section for keys and money, and two great elastic bands for tucking gloves and hats into. It sits really well on my hips, and doesn’t move even when I’m running downhill. My fav’ piece of kit for this summer.

Arc’teryx Incendo Hat

It’s hard to believe something as lightweight and small as this hat can make such a difference, but it does. When I’m out fellrunning, protecting my face from the elements is vital for comfort, temperature
control and vision. This hat is small and light enough that it fits easily into a pocket when it’s not needed, but has been used many times to protect me from the sun, wind, rain and even hail!
