Two-layer GORE-TEX is ultra-waterproof and breathable too, so you need have no fears about getting cold and wet due to excess powder or deteriorating weather. When working hard to get to those remote lines, the fabric works hard to let your sweat and excess heat escape, aided by the generous pit zips. When the time comes to clip in and descend, the dual weight PrimaLoft insulation keeps the cold and wind at bay and stops your sweat from chilling. PrimaLoft is a synthetic material that acts like natural down and forms a barrier between yourself and the cold air outside. Altogether, the materials in the Lofoten jacket make it the ultimate backcountry piece for exploring big off-piste lines and challenging routes. 

The rest of the jacket is completed as you would expect with an easily adjustable hood, plenty of pockets, water-resistant zippers, pit zips, hand gaiters and a goggle wipe. Insulation is absent in the hood and below the snow skirt to save weight and prevent excess heat when hiking to those remote locations. The snow skirt can be tucked away when not required.
