Silva Compass Expedition 4

We reckon that everyone in the outdoors should have a compass and know how to use it.

This is the compass for learning and practising navigation skills in the hills, dales and mountains.

Needs no batteries(!) 

The "full-size" base plate lets you take bearings more easily over longer distances on the map.

The base plate includes a magnifier and measuring scales (mm and inch).

There are useful Romer scales for grid references on the most commonly used map scales (1:25k, 1:50k, 1:40k).

The luminous points help when navigating in the dark.

This is a recommended compass for Walking Group Leaders and Mountain Leaders.

We stock other compasses from Silva, with either fewer or more features, depending on your needs.
The Field and Ranger compasses, for example, have smaller base plates so have fewer map scales and no Romer scales. The Ranger has space for a magnifier, the smaller Field compass does not.
