Podiatry Clinic

Andrew Stanley Rebound clinic

Our famous Boot Room is so well known that generations of people have travelled from across the UK, and still do, to have their boots fitted here, thanks to the expertise of our staff. Other George Fisher services include ski servicing, equipment hire and waterproof testing. Our boot fitters are trained by renowned podiatrist, Andrew Stanley.

We also host a Walking Clinic several times a year, with Andrew himself present at the George Fisher store, here in Keswick. Andrew is the biomechanics consultant for Trail Magazine, and his Rebound Clinic is renowned country-wide for the quality of its advice and results. Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower leg. Walkers often suffer pain and discomfort in these areas. Andrew trains our own staff in recognising common podiatry issues for walkers and runners and how to select & fit suitable insoles to help resolve them, where appropriate.

The Walking Clinic is a UK first - an outdoor shop with a resident podiatrist who can diagnose and treat on-site, offering a complete service to walkers (i.e. - there's no need to send away and wait weeks for orthotics to be produced and fitted).

BOOK A CONSULTATION by contacting Andrew on 01729 825900 or visit the Rebound Clinic website for more information.

Boot fitting is about more than just product knowledge - you need to understand people’s feet too. Andrew Stanley, one of the UK’s top podiatrists has been training our staff in biomechanics since the year 2000 and we now offer boot-fitting to a level that cannot be matched anywhere else.

If you have any kind of discomfort when walking, climbing, running or skiing - or any queries about orthotics - beyond what we can advise, then Andrew is the man to see.

After a lifetime of sport, including mountaineering, squash, marathons and fell running, my flat feet and excessive pronation gave rise to back and groin pain and chronic severe foot pain. Following examination and orthotic treatment by Andrew Stanley, I have enjoyed pain free exercise for the past 18 months. Says Dr J C Blackburn, Cumbria, Age 53
