It was a wet day on Castle Crag for the Borrowdale Remembrance Day service at 11 am today. The expected rain blew in as we set off for the climb and the summit was relatively empty till close to the time as people were sheltering in the quarry below.
About 150 to 200 folk finally met up on the summit to hear a few words of dedication, a poem and a prayer from Miles on the summit to complete the shorter than usual Remembrance Service, on this iconic crag, on this inhospitable day.
