Check our advice on Meindl's shoe & boot suitability grading system

After innumerable treks across the tracks, trails and mountains across the globe, Meindl have retired their Burma Pro boot, and have replaced it with the Bhutan MFS boot. This boot takes the familiar sole unit and last from the old Burma Pro and adds them to a re-designed streamlined full leather upper and a MFS soft cushioned ankle.

Taking Meindl's extensive experience of combining high-quality leather uppers with a GORE-TEX lining, means this boot is robust and will keep your feet dry from external wetness and will move moisture generated within the boot out with ease.

Ideal for tackling Munro's in Scotland, or for low level treks in the major mountain ranges.

Best boot for comfort

Third pair over 20 years and many miles walked. Comfortable and rigid foot bed suit my feet and never let me down in wet weather.

Good title!

These boots are the same as my Burma boots that I have been wearing for years and replacing as they wear out. I must have had 6 boots over the last 30 years! Why did you change the name? Is Burma no longer PC? I would like to visit Bhutan as I have been hiking in Sikkim which was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Bhutan may be even better.

Wide fit comfort

Excellent boot, not heavy, wide fit, keeps proofing well. Worth the price.
